Life Cycles- Butterflies and Frogs
Students can learn about the life cycle of butterflies and frogs at this interactive site. Explanations are given about each stage. Students drag pictures onto a diagram to show the life cycle.
This activity lends itself to differentiation. It can be done individually, in pairs, and/or whole class if projected. Stages of a butterfly or frog are displayed with short explanations. Students then drag pictures of the stages to show the correct order. Since the life cycle students put in order can be printed, it can also be used as an assessment. Teachers can develop readings and/or assessments using the explanations to further enhance the activity.
