Plants and Animals in Habitats
This game required students to move the cursor over the screen, click, and collect eight different living things in a woodland and pond scene so the can be sorted by habitat: woodland or pond. A magnifying glass click reveals more information about each object: description, where it lives, what it eats, what it's eaten by, and a fact. Then the pictures can be sorted into a woodland or pond food chain.
This game is extremely student friendly. It has a help button that highlights and explains each part of the game. Students can read the text or click audio and have every part of the game read. Arrows can be clicked to make the game slightly harder or easier. A quiz is also included. This game supports understanding that plants and animals need a place to live and grow. Additionally, this game supports understanding that animals need pants or other animals for food in order to grow.
