Explicit Information Lesson Plan: Identifying Information
A complete lesson plan is provided including links to printable .pdf files of a Direct Teaching Example chart and student indpendent practice sheet. Lesson plan suggests using Animal Taste by Kirsten Hall, however, other informational text could be used with the same lesson. Teacher uses direct teaching and guided practice to show how we learn new information from nonfiction text. Students draw and write responses. You may need to register to use this site, but it is free.
