Food chains

This lesson plan includes a video clip that does not play in the US, but the online activity and other materials are helpful. In the online activity, the student creates a food chain by clicking on which animal eats which animal, and hears an explanation of how the animal depends on the other animals in its ecosystem. The food chain the student creates shows how the animals depend on each other, and how a plant is the beginning point of each food chain.However, at the end, you cannot play the video. It is u201cnot available in your area.u201d Be sure to scroll down in the lesson plan and find "online activity," so as not to be disappointed by the non-playing film clip. After students have completed the online activity, notice that there is a link just below the photo frame to a quiz, and to reading material. The lesson plan also includes a link to a printable worksheet.
