Functions 2
This site contains 8 Java Applets that can be used as teaching tools, to review, or as openers. The first 2 are matching graphs and equations involving negative powers and the form a + b/x or a + b/x2. Next is the graphs of sin, cos, and tan, which are generated by the user by means of a scroll bar which controls the motion of a point on the unit circle. Then there are 2 programs that allow you to show the family of elementary trig functions, and the family of exponential and logarthmic functions. Last, are 2 applets which match sin and cos functions to their graphs. It also includes the Function Plotter applet.
The student will identify the trigonometric functions by their key characteristics.
