Conic Flyer
This is an great interactive activity in which students can select any conic section (circle, parabola, ellipse, or hyperbola) and then adjust the constants and coefficients in the standard equation using slider bars. It allows students to explore the standard form of conic sections and how adjusting the standard form will affect the graph. The site includes instructions for the teacher, worksheets, and links to other resources.
The students will understand the relationships between the equations of conic sections and their graphs.
