The Falling Dominoes
This website will have students ivestigating how mass determines the rate in which objects fall. Students will hypothesize and make observations as they complete their experiments. Overall outcome is the understanding that objects fall at the same rate regardless of mass. A discussion about air resistance is necessary to prevent misconceptions.
This website helps students to understand the concept of gravity. Materials involve dominoes, stop watch and an area where dominoes can be dropped. A worksheet for data collection is provided as well as follow up questions.
