Information Elimination: A Lesson on Narrowing the Topic in Expository Writing
This interactive website introduces the character of Wilbur Wittle. Wilbur has been assigned to complete a research paper in less than a week. The research topics he picks are entirely too broad to follow. The website takes the student through Wilbur's process in narrowing his topic. Students are given the opportunity to respond to prompted questions throughout his learning process.
The teacher may use this interactive website for student enrichment, intervention, and practice when addressing the standard of narrowing a research topic.
