Wacky People Dichotomous Key
The purpose of this activity is to use a dichotomous to identify the "wacky" creature. After the exercise, teachers can explain that similar dichotomous keys are used to identify fungi, plants, and animals.
As this activity uses drawing of which no student could have prior knowledge , it makes a good assessment of understanding of dichotomous keys. Alternatively, some might chose to use this as a summative assessment.
