Forces in Action
This media is interactive and allows students to examine how force and mass are used to determine the distance an object will travel. BBC videos and media resources provide hands-on learning as well as stimulating graphics for visual learners. Math is incorporated through graphing of results. This interactive media can also be used as a student resource for individual enrichment.
This BBC media can be used as a whole class activity after introduction of force, mass, and distance. Another approach would be to have small groups work through the activity as a review after content has been taught. The graphics and interactive approach will engage the learner's curiosity. The use of a smart board for this activity would allow access for all students.
