Multiplication Strategies and Writing Story Problems
This is a lesson that allows students to create multiplication arrays and problems for others in the classroom to solve. This lesson gives students the ability to take the lesson into their own hands and work with multiplication arrays. The teacher is allowed to see a student's ability level on relating multiplication arrays to a multiplication problem.
This a whole group lesson to teach multiplication arrays. It can also be used for ability groups for creating arrays or differentiated instruction for students who are struggling with understanding multiplication.
