Investigation of Plane Mirrors
This is an interactive simulation and measurement activity focusing on images formed in plane mirrors. Using a TI-Nspire, students make observations regarding the relationship between the location of an object and its image. Students use a length measurement tool to make quantitative assessments about distances and reflection angles. Teacher and student activity notes are available as a pdf.Â
This resource addresses the CLE of investigating mirrors by providing a visual and analytical tool for making observations and conclusions about the principles of plane mirrors. Students are utilizing simulation technology to make measurements in order to verify these principles of mirrors.
