Electric Current and Voltage
An interactive Flash presentation providing a brief introduction to current, voltage, the difference between the two, how they are represented in a circuit diagram, what is needed to create a functioning circuit, and real-world examples. A quick multiple-choice assessment follows the presentation.
This presentation provides a thorough overview of an electrical circuit and how it works in a way that is appropriate to the grade level. It is aligned to GLE 0401.10.2. Perhaps combined with another hands-on engagement activity that demonstrates electrical current (safely!) in the classroom, students can obtain a complete understanding of how electrical circuits transfer energy.
