Solids and Liquids
This is an interactive site where students "experiment" with melting various solids, such as chocolate, aluminum, and candle wax. There is also an option to "test" the solids and liquids; the beaker is "wobbled" to see how the two states of matter react. Additonally, there is a small quiz at the end of the activity.
This resource allows students to see what happens when various solids are heated. Students should be encouraged to note at what temperature the materials become liquid and solid.
