Animal Adaptations PowerPoints
This website offers a list of powerpoint presentations, many done by students, on the topic of animal adaptations. There are also complete lesson plans for teachers.
The powerpoints listed vary in quality and in suitability for third graders. Especially commendable are the fifth, sixth, and ninth presentations on the list. These address the relationship between an organism's characteristics and its ability to survive in a given environment directly. They could be used as examples for students who are then challenged to create their own ppt. The lesson plans listed further down on the page are quite complete. There are also a few games and other resources.
