Magnetic Millionaire
This is a fun interactive game based on the premise of Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. The game is a great way to indicate whether or not students understand and can apply information about magnets. Students play online by themselves where they are given hints as they move up the money ladder. Another option is for the teacher to put the questions on the overhead or smart board then divide the class into teams as a collaborative and fun alternative to playing alone. The goal is to answer all the questions correctly to win a million dollars.
This resource visits how objects that are made of different materials are attracted or not attracted to a magnet. The game quizzes students on which part of a magnet is strongest. The game is a great review for the attraction or repelling of poles and items that will be attracted or not.
