What on Earth is Plate Tectonics?
This is a good site for students beginning to learn about the Earth layers, its major plates, and the kinds of movement along the boundaries. Included are pictures of each of these topics.
Students can use this site to build academic vocabulary, develop reports or products with pictures about Earth layers, plate tectonics, and the movement along the boundaries of the plates. Because of the pictures, students with different abilitities can gain useful information. Teachers can use the site to develop whole class presentations.
