What is a System?
This resource includes information about the organization of organ systems within an organism and how systems work together to enable it to survive. There are links to information about individual organ systems and quizzes that can be taken after different sections are studied. Drawings are included to aid in understanding.
Teachers can use this to build background knowledge and to develop lessons about organ systems and how they work together. The site can be used, as is, with the whole class, in small groups, or individually depending on student needs or the information can be used by the teacher to develop activities to include in lessons. Students can write reports about different organ systems that include the associated organs, functions, drawings, and what systems work together to enable survival of the organism.
