Observe an Animation of Land and Sea Breezes
This is a great animation illustrating how the sun's heat affects heating and cooling on land and water resulting in convection currents producing land and sea breezes. The animation is short, but can be paused so students can make observations about the location of the sun, temperature changes, and air movement changes.
This animation represents a 24 hour period in which the temperature changes as a result of the Earth's rotation. Observations can be made and data collected showing the relationship of the temperature and the changes of air movement resulting in land and sea breezes.
