Tree of Life Web Project
This is an amazing resource for learning about living organisms. The entire site is basically a database for all living things. It would be a perfect supplemental resource for students to use in research, but I am sure it has many other functions. In addition, the site is setup in such a way that allows each page (about a specific organism) to be linked hierarchically to those that are related. There are amazingly vivid photos also included.
This is a great resource for students to find out more information about specific organisms and how they factor into a specific biological hierarchy. While the best way to take advantage of this site is research, the possibilities are fairly limitless. Experts have submitted countless amounts of information about various living things, and details of evolution and biodiversity of these organisms are included.
