Changing State
Students manipulate temperature to discover how temperature changes affect physical changes in states of matter with this interactive activity. There is a read aloud option that could be helpful for struggling readers.
Students manipulate temperature to cause changes in matter. This illustrates physical changes of matter through temperature changes. Differentiation can be accomplished through the products students are asked to provide while doing the activity. Students can develop cause and effect statements as they interact with this activity, illustrate what happens when temperature changes, and/or write explanations of what is occurring. Additional differentiation can be accomplished through different grouping situations.
