Animal Life Cycles
This site contains information about life cycles and includes handouts and worksheets. There are handouts with information about each stage of the life cycle and worksheets that contain only pictures. There are life cycle handouts and worksheets for several animals.
The strength of this site is in the differentiation possibilities available through the use of the life cycle handouts and worksheets and the variety of animal life cycles included in the site. Teachers can choose a handout that contains information for each stage of the animal's life cycle then differentiate instruction using the worksheets that have only pictures. Students label the stage and include explanations about each stage. Modifications can be made to the handout that contains information by omitting the labels or words based on students' abilities. There is information on several animals, including butterflies, dragonflies, brown bats, spiders, and sharks. The worksheets can be used for practice or assessment.
