DNA Replication
This short video clip illustrates DNA replication and shows the nucleotide base pairings in DNA. This video clip would be an excellent addition to instruction on DNA and replication because it allows the students to visualize the 3-D molecule and the process of replication.
This video clearly shows the double helix structure of DNA and how the molecule replicates. The segment illustrates how DNA "unzips" to form new templates for the new strands and then how complementary nucleotides bind together like the rungs of a ladder to make the two new identical strands.
