The Mechanical Universe:
The original video course produced by CalTech in 1985 is a timeless classic now available as streaming video. Each of the 52 episodes is approximately a half-hour in length. The content of the course is at a calculus level, making this a strong resource for teacher's content knowledge, but students in honors courses often appreciate the peek into the next level of explanation. The series weaves Professor Goodstein's classroom lecture with period recreations of the scientists' work and computer animation.
The video course is a calculus-based introductory physics course covering almost every topic in the Tennessee Learning Expectations for physics.
