What is Friction?
This interactive simulation allows the user to attempt to brake a moving vehicle through manipulation of braking distance, velocity, and road conditions.
Calculations of friction are done by the simulation, allowing the student to focus on the physics behind stopping the vehicle. Students will determine that slower speeds and longer braking distances make for safer stops.
