Make a Basketball Jumpshot Every Time!
An interactive simulation of a jump shot that allows the user to enter and later adjust various parameters until they make the basket. This simple computer model is a fun application of projectile motion.
Many students with poor algebra skills struggle with the calculations necessary to describe projectile motion. This simulation helps students to develop their sense for two dimensional motion as they discover how adjusting each parameter impacts the trajectory of the ball.
