Rutherford Scattering
This virtual lab allows you to simulate Rutherford’s experiment on alpha particle bombardment of atoms.
Very good virtual lab that allows the user to change the energy of the alpha particles as well as the size of the atom that is being bombarded. In addition, the results can be interpreted either from the standpoint of a u201cRutherfordu201d type atom versus a u201cplum puddingu201d atomic model.
