Ohm's Law Lab with Bulbs and Cells
This simple lab uses bulbs and batteries to enable the student to explore the differences between series and parallel circuits.
Cells (or batteries) function very differently in series than they do in parallel. Light bulbs also function differently in series than they do in parallel. In this lab, students will build series and parallel circuits. In the process, they must interpret schematic diagrams and use a digital multimeter to measure current and voltage.
