Magnetism and Magnetic Induction Resource
Sponsored by the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory at Florida State University, this site provides classroom material for the teacher in the areas of magnetism and electromagnetism. Simple labs for classroom use, interactive tutorials for students, and professional development opportunities for teachers are among the links provided on this site.
Teaching students about magnetic fields, the relationship between current and magnetism, and the various aspects of magnetic induction are challenging for most high school teachers. Among the classroom materials on this site are elementary hands-on activities involving compasses, electromagnetism, and drawing magnetic field lines. These labs are simple, and suitable for freshmen. The tutorials are more advanced and can be used with students in regular and advanced placement physics classes.
