Precipitation Simulation
CLE 3210.3.4 This link shows what happens in a constantly-raining world of rain! Discover sleet, snow, and freezing rain by changing temperature, air, land and quantity of precipitation.
Students study the water cycle in elementary and middle schools. At the high school level, students can quickly review the types of precipitation and the factors that determine these precipitation forms. Students can extend this simulation by determining the areas of the biosphere where the temperatures and precipitation forms are found and how these abiotic factors determine the biotic factors.
