Helping Plants Grow Well
This game provides the opportunity for students to help plants grow well. Students must consider water, sunlight, and temperature when growing the plant. Students click to start growing a plant. The monitor will show when the water level in the soil is too low or too high. The monitor will show when the heat level in the room is too low or high. Students will click a lever to water the plant. Another lever will heat the room. A blind can be pulled down to shut out the sunlight. Speakers can be clicked to read any part of the game. Arrows can make the game slightly harder or easier. A quiz tests students on what they know about helping a plant grow well.
This game is extremely student friendly. It has a help button that highlights and explains each part of the game. Students can read the text or click audio and have every part of the game read. Arrows can be clicked to make the game slightly harder or easier. The experiment can be reset for more than one experience. This game supports understanding that: *plants need a place to live and grow *some places are better than others for plants to grow *plants need sunlight to grow
