Parallel Lines and Pairs of Angles Interactive Lesson
This is a great lesson on parallel lines. It has a set of parallel lines with a transversal drawn, and then will highlight the pairs of named angles. When a definition is needed for a set of angles, if the name is clicked on, the definition will appear. It gives examples, then has more questions for the students to answer. This is a great whole group instruction piece because it is interactive.
Many students have been introduced to parallel lines, but naming the pairs of angles formed can be confusing. This lesson allows students to visually see the angles, read the definition (if needed),and do examples. Participation is easily accomplished using a whiteboard.
