Friction: Bill Nye on Friction (Part 1)
This 8-minute video demonstrates the effects of friction on movement of common objects. It shows a simple demonstration of how to make a hovercraft using a round piece of cardboard, glue, a bottlecap, and a balloon.
This video provides a review of friction and provides several everyday examples which can allow for brainstorming leading to the design of their own simple investigations.
