Research Paper Rubric
This rubric for research papers defines 12 categories for evaluating student writing. For each category, descriptions from unacceptable to exemplary explain how well students met the expectations for the paper.
This rubric contains thorough measurements for the effectiveness of student writing, specifically for research papers. The categories range from documentation and evidence to purpose and tone. Teachers can modify the descriptions in categories or remove categories altogether depending on the parameters of their assignment.
