Interactive: Elapsed Time
This is an interactive applet that allows the user to practice determining the elapsed time given a starting time and an ending time. There are tabs provided that give directions for the student and teacher. This applet has a built in check feature that gives the student a chance to adjust his or her thinking if the answer is incorrect. There is a feature that allows the teacher to see the students' scores.
This activity would work well in groups of one to two for about ten to fifteen minutes if you use the record sheet and five minutes otherwise. This site could also be used as an assessment tool for teachers.
