Cell Scale Size
This link provides an interesting look at the size of various pieces of materials, including cell organelles, bacteria, and viruses. There is a slide bar provided at the bottom of the animation to zoom in on the materials.
This could be used as an introduction to the discussion on cells. It is a way of providing students with a concrete connection to the size of cells and other organisms.
