Body System Interactive Game
This PBS site has an interactive game. Students must place the correct missing organ systems on Arnold (the character in the game) in order for his body to work efficiently. If students misplace any parts on the body they start over on the activity. This activity is timed. Discussion questions are included and can be used as a formative assessment.
Students are required to correctly place missing organ systems in a timed game. Students will learn organs and functions as they play the game. The background information explains what middle school students should understand for this concept. Discussion questions can be used as a formative assessment or as an instructional strategy (jig saw). Included in the background are other resources to help teach body systems. Students may complete this activity as enrichment or for more practice. This site is funded by NSF.
