AdLit.org's Strategy Library
This resource contains 40 strategies to be used before, during, and after reading. They are also categorized by reading, vocabulary, or writing strategy. Many contain corresponding graphic organizers to be used with strategies.
This resource offers strategies to teach informational text, vocabulary, and writing within the categories of before, during, and after reading. Such strategies include First Lines, Think Alouds, Double-Entry Journals, Power Notes, Seed Discussions, Think-Pair-Share, Exit Slips, Frame Routines, Selective Highlighting, and others. These strategies are geared for adolescents, but the grade levels run from 6-12. Teachers will need to modify strategies according to classroom needs.
