Using Primary Sources
This research site developed by the Library of Congress provides teacher’s guides and analysis tools for students to evaluate the credibility of primary sources, including manuscripts, maps, motion pictures, photographs, political cartoons, song sheets, etc.
The student-friendly guides and analysis tools on this website enable students to be both critical and analytical as they read and examine documents and objects. There is great specificity in that each primary source comes with its own unique analysis tool/assessment already developed and ready to print.
