The Week in Rap (Media Rap Videos)
" The Week in Rap" link is a product of Channel 1 news. Each Friday, a new rap video is designed using the week's news. This is an excellent tool to use weekly in listening comprehension, analyzing media, viewing media as a source of persuasion/information.

Teachers can have the opportunity to challenge the students' listening comprehension skills by posing review questions after using the media source. The video can be used as a springboard for discussions about media persuasion in the news and identify the purpose of a medium (ie; to inform, to persuade).
