This site provides information, several good animations and graphics about chemical bonding including sodium and chlorine bonding to form sodium chloride. The activity also demonstrates the actual chemical reaction for this as well as animation demonstrating what is happening at the atomic level. Reinforces that compounds result from chemical bonding.
