Research project rubric
This rubric, from the University of Wisconsin, provides a simple evaluation for student research, writing, and presentation. The rubric areas include; research questions, selection of sources, note-taking and key words, sharing and presenting information, and listing sources. Each section is worth up to 3 points with a total of 15 possible.
The research rubric provides descriptors of age-appropriate expectations for research papers/projects. This can be copied and modified to fit personal needs. It would be great as a self-assessment, peer review, and post-assessment. It provides a clear picture of what students are working toward.
