Curve Fitting Applet
This applet allows the user to choose data points (up to 50) for a grid. Depending upon how many points are used, the user can choose for the program to give a best fit regression that is either linear, quadratic, cubic, or quartic. The equation is provided at the bottom of the screen. Also, the user could choose to use sliders for the coefficient and attempt to create the best fit regression on their own.
This resource is good for demonstrating how one additional data point can dramatically change the best fit graph and/or equation.
