Endangered Species Program
This site contains information about species that are threatened and endangered for each state. Under the heading Find Endangered Species, click on the state in which you want to learn about threatened and endangered species. Each species has a link that provides additional information about the species. Students can use the information on this site to learn about threatened and endangered species found in different states. A social studies connection can be made by using maps to locate where the different species are found within the state. Students may be surprised and concerned to learn that there are threatened and endangered species close to where they live.
