Separating Mixtures
Interactive activity from Harcourt allowing students to choose tools for separating various mixtures. Feedback is given when the wrong tool is chosen. When students find the correct tool, they choose it from a drop down menu, and then choose the reason that tool worked. This completes the data table for the activity. After completing the activity, students should write/journal the descriptions for how the mixtures were separated.
