Cultural Creation Myths: What Myths Tell Us About A Civilization.
This lesson provides exploration of many world myths, from American Indian to Japanese to African myths. Students research the myths and write a compare/contrast essay based on two of the myths. Handouts to aid students in this writing are included. Teachers can use this in coordination with a mythology unit, a compare/contrast writing unit, or a unit on synthesizing sources.
