Falling Dominoes
First click on "Falling Dominoes" lesson. Teacher will need 2 single dominoes and 4 taped dominoes for each group. Students will drop the dominoes in a series of tests. The will make predictions to see if mass affects how fast an object falls. This includes a student activity sheet for them to record their data or they can record their data in their science notebooks. Various items other than dominoes could be added (a feather, paper, etc.) to show how the shape does affect the way and object falls to earth. The resource allows students to investigate how mass and the shape affects how an object falls to earth.
