Autumn Leaves and Fall Colors

This is an excellent resource with abundant information on the way leaves change colors. The first part of the resource is all information and includes diagrams, pictures, and reading material. The second part contains three (simple) experiments that illustrate the physical properties of leaves changing color. In addition, there are other miniature in-lesson activities like "fun facts" and a word scramble. This resources will engage and intrigue students and teachers alike. I couldn't wait to try it out! There are three experiments in this resource, which are great illustrations of how to use the scientific method. In addition, the abundance of information about leaves meets several biology requirements, including life cycles of trees and how trees are able to survive all four seasons (dormancy).
