Living and Non-Living Things
This lesson plan begins by students distinguishing between living and non-living things. It continues by helping students distinguish between man-made and natural, both living and non-living, and concludes with a discussion of traits of living things. The beginning of this lesson can be used to assess students' prior learning of living and non-living things. It then helps to clarify living and non-living natural and man-made things. Finally, students can learn about traits of living things. The way it is written, it is particularly good for academic vocabulary development.
