Fun with Food Webs
Students can learn about meadow, arctic, and pond food webs in this interactive activity by placing pictures to make food chains that make a food web. Students have the opportunity to manipulate pictures to build food chains resulting in food webs. They can practice making meadow, arctic, and pond food webs. They must know that the producer comes after the sun and be able to follow arrows in the web to make correct decisions about where the plants and animals go to make the food web. Additionally, students can be asked to illustrate one or more food webs and/or explain the relationships of the organisms within the web depending on their learning styles and needs.
